Chapter 1: Accident

Summary: Tegoshi and Ryo are together, but when one of them gets into an accident, tradgedy strikes.

Ryo's days without Tegoshi were days he couldn't bear. His boyfriend, Tegoshi Yuya, decided that today was a good day for soccer, his other love. Ryo couldn't stop Tegoshi from playing, so he went through days like this. He waited for his phone to vibrate from a call from Tegoshi. Checking his phone every five seconds didn't help his patience either.

Bzzt... Bzzt... Ryo quickly flipped up his phone. Massu calling... The screen read as Ryo reluctantly went to answer.

"What Massu?"

"Uh, Ryo, something happened to Tegoshi..."

"Eh?! What happened to him?"

"Uh, just come over to the soccer field, I'll explain there."

Ryo quickly hung up and rushed over to the soccer field. His mind seemed to fill with worry. As each minute passed, he seemed even more restless. He sped over to the soccer field and almost jumped out of his car. Massu immediately ran over to explain.

"Ryo, this is bad," Massu said with a frown on his face. Out of breath, Ryo looked at Massu with worried eyes. Massu started talking really fast, "He was running towards the goal, and then I guess he wasn't looking, and then ran right into another player. He's unconscious. Tegoshi always knows his surroundings, it's weird to see him hurt."

Ryo was speechless. The person he loved was injured.

"Where is he?" Ryo asked, then looked around.

"In the ambulance, he --"

Ryo ran straight toward the blinking ambulance near the soccer field's entrance. He asked the ambulance's nurse how he was doing.

The report was worse than he expected. The nurse told him he was hit really hard and they wouldn't know anything until he woke up. They were going to keep him in the hospital for a few days. Ryo only nodded and walked back to his car. In the driver's seat, he seemed like he was in a phase. He drove to the hospital in silence.

Ryo cared for Tegoshi more than anything. He knew he was different from the beginning. Ryo couldn't stand waiting in the waiting room. His beloved Tegoshi could be seriously hurt and need him. Once they called to say that Tegoshi's room was set, he rushed in to see his face.

His perfect face looked so different from a black bruise on his left cheek. His disheveled hair took away from his beauty. He looked horrible. Ryo's eyes watered just by looking at him. He went over to the side of his bed and held his hand. His bandaged arm made it difficult to hold him. He stepped away and sat on the chair next to his bed to wait for him to wake up.

Hours passed and it was soon nighttime. Ryo felt like it was forever until Tegoshi was going to wake up, until he heard a faint murmur from the bed. Ryo quickly got up and looked at Tegoshi. His eyes flickered and opened, and then looked back at Ryo.

"Oh, Tegoshi, thank goodness you're awake!" Ryo exclaimed and hugged him. He pulled back and smiled brightly. He couldn't hold his excitement in seeing him wake up from his concussion. But the next words wiped the smile right off his face and his world came crumbling down.

"Who are you?"
